Thủy ngân(II) fulminat, hoặc Hg(CNO)2, là chất rắn màu trắng, rất nhạy cảm với ma sát, nhiệt và sốc. Các sản phẩm phân hủy của nó chứa hơi carbon dioxide / monoxide, nitơ và thủy ngân, với thủy ngân là cực kỳ độc hại.Thủy ngân(II) fulminat rất độc và ăn phải có thể gây tử vong và chủ yếu được sử dụng như một kích hoạt cho các vật liệu nổ khác trong mũ gõ và nổ mìn.
