Substance Na2O2 (Natri peroxit)
Natri perôxít được dùng để tẩy bột giấy gỗ trong sản xuất giấy và in ấn. Gần đây nó được dùng chủ yếu trong các hoạt động thí nghiệm chuyên môn, ví dụ như tách kim loại khỏi quặng. Natri perôxít có thể tìm với tên thương mại Solozone[4] and Flocool.[5] TRong các phản ứng điều chế, natri perôxít dùng làm chất oxi hoá. Nó còn làm nguồn cung cấp oxi bởi phản ứng giữa nó với cacbon điôxit giải phóng oxi và tạo ra natri cacbonat; vì thế nó rất hữu ích trong các thiết bị lặn, tàu ngầm,... Liti peroxit cũng có tính năng tương tự. Nó còn dùng trong điều chế mẫu thử bởi tổng hợp peroxit (peroxide fusion) và phân tích sau đó bởi AA hay ICP.
