Substance CrF5 (Crom(V) florua)
Crom pentaflorua là hợp chất vô cơ có công thức hóa học là CrF5. Nó là một chất rắn dễ bay hơi màu đỏ, nóng chảy ở 34°C. Về cấu trúc của nó, crom pentaflorua hợp chất là một polyme phối trí một chiều. Mỗi tâm Cr (V) có dạng hình học phân tử bát diện. Nó có cấu trúc tinh thể tương tự như vanadi pentafluoride. Crom pentaflorua có tính oxi hóa mạnh, có thể tạo flo cho xenon và oxi hóa dioxygen thành dioxygenyl. Do tính chất này, nó dễ bị phân hủy khi có mặt các chất khử, và dễ dàng thủy phân thành crom (III) và crom (VI).
