Substance (NH4)2SO4 (amoni sulfat)

Amoni sunfat là một muối sunfat vô cơ thu được bằng phản ứng của axit sunfuric với amoniac. Là chất rắn màu trắng có độ nóng chảy cao (phân hủy trên 280oC) rất dễ hòa tan trong nước, nó được sử dụng rộng rãi làm phân bón cho đất kiềm, làm giảm độ cân bằng pH của đất, đồng thời góp nito cần thiết cho sự phát triển của cây trồng. Ngoài ra, nó cũng được sử dụng như một chất bổ trợ phun trong nông nghiệp cho các loại thuốc trừ sâu, thuốc diệt cỏ và thuốc diệt nấm hòa tan trong nước. Nó còn có chức năng liên kết các cation sắt và canxi có trong cả nước giếng và tế bào thực vật.
