Niken(II) clorua (hoặc niken điclorua), là hợp chất vô cơ có công thức NiCl2. Muối khan này có màu vàng, nhưng muối ngậm nước NiCl2·6H2O thường gặp lại có màu xanh lá cây. Coban (II) axetat là một muối coban trong đó coban kim loại ở trạng thái oxi hóa +2 và anion phản ứng là axetat.Coban axetat là chất rắn kết tinh màu tím đỏ. Mùi giống như giấm. Giống như nhiều axetat kim loại chuyển tiếp khác, coban (II) axetat tạo thành bằng phản ứng của oxit coban hoặc hydroxit và axit axetic: CoO + 2 CH3COOH + 3H2O → Co (CH3COO)2 · 4H2O
