Natri axetat có tên hóa học là CH3COONa, một loại bột hút ẩm rất dễ hòa tan trong nước. Natri axetat có thể được sử dụng làm chất phụ gia trong thực phẩm, công nghiệp, sản xuất bê tông, đệm sưởi và trong dung dịch đệm. Về mặt y học, natri axetat là thành phần quan trọng như một chất bổ sung điện giải khi được tiêm tĩnh mạch. Nó chủ yếu được chỉ định để điều chỉnh nồng độ natri ở bệnh nhân hạ natri máu. Nó cũng có thể được sử dụng trong nhiễm toan chuyển hóa và kiềm hóa nước tiểu.
Coban(II) hidroxit có dạng bột hồng đỏ hoặc bột xanh dương, hòa tan trong axit, amonia; không hòa tan trong kiềm loãng. Nó được sử dụng nhiều như tác nhân làm khô cho sơn, vecni và mực, trong việc điều chế các hợp chất coban khác, như một chất xúc tác và trong việc sản xuất điện cực pin. Coban(II) hydroxit kết tủa như một chất rắn khi một hydroxit kim loại kiềm được thêm vào một dung dịch nước muối Co2+: Co2+ + 2NaOH → Co(OH)2 + 2Na+
