Substance InBr3 (Indi tribromua)

Indi (III) bromua InBr3, là một hợp chất hóa học của indi và brom. Nó là một axit Lewis và đã được sử dụng trong tổng hợp hữu cơ. Nó có cấu trúc tinh thể tương tự như nhôm triclorua. Khi nóng chảy, indi bromua có dạng dime, In2Br6, và nó chủ yếu là dime hóa trong pha khí. Dimer có các nguyên tử brom bắc cầu có cấu trúc tương tự như nhôm triclorua Al2Cl6. Indi (III) bromua phản ứng với kim loại indi tạo thành indi bromua hóa trị thấp hơn, InBr2, In4Br7, In2Br3, In5Br7, In7Br9, indi (I) bromua. Trong dung dịch xylene hồi lưu InBr3 và In kim loại phản ứng để tạo thành InBr2.
