Axit m-phthalic là chất rắn màu trắng, có mùi khó chịu nhẹ. Chìm trong nước. Axit phtalic là một axit dicarboxylic thơm, với công thức C6H4 (CO2H) 2. Nó là một đồng phân của axít m-phthalic và axít terephthalic. Mặc dù axit phtalic có tầm quan trọng thương mại khiêm tốn, chất phthalic anhydride phái sinh có mối liên quan chặt chẽ là một hoá chất được sản xuất trên quy mô lớn.
Axit permanganic là một oxoacid mangan, là chất rắn, màu tím. Nó là một axit liên hợp của một pemanganat, có công thức HMnO4. Oxoacid mạnh này đã được phân lập dưới dạng dihydrat của nó.
