Crom(II) clorua mô tả các hợp chất vô cơ có màu trắng khi tinh khiết, tuy nhiên trên thương mại thường có màu xám hoặc lục; hút ẩm và dễ hòa tan trong nước. Acetamide có dạng tinh thể không màu, có mùi hôi. Độc tính thấp. Acetamide là kết quả của sự ngưng tụ của axit axetic với amoniac. Nó là một amit axit monocacboxylic, một N-acylamoniac. Acetamide là một chất đồng phân của một axit acetimidic. Acetamide được sử dụng chủ yếu làm dung môi và chất làm dẻo. Nó gây kích ứng da nhẹ do tiếp xúc cấp tính (ngắn hạn). Không có thông tin về tác dụng mãn tính (lâu dài). EPA đã không phân loại acetamide về khả năng gây ung thư.
