Coban (II) axetat là một muối coban trong đó coban kim loại ở trạng thái oxi hóa +2 và anion phản ứng là axetat.Coban axetat là chất rắn kết tinh màu tím đỏ. Mùi giống như giấm. Giống như nhiều axetat kim loại chuyển tiếp khác, coban (II) axetat tạo thành bằng phản ứng của oxit coban hoặc hydroxit và axit axetic: CoO + 2 CH3COOH + 3H2O → Co (CH3COO)2 · 4H2O
Indi (III) sulfua là hợp chất vô cơ có công thức In2S3, có dạng bột màu đỏ và có mùi "trứng thối" đặc trưng của các hợp chất lưu huỳnh, và tạo ra khí hydro sunfua khi phản ứng với axit khoáng. Ba cấu trúc khác nhau của indi (III) sulfua đã được biết đến: màu vàng, α-In2S3 có cấu trúc lập phương, β-In2S3 màu đỏ có cấu trúc spinel, tứ giác và γ-In2S3 có cấu trúc phân lớp. Dạng màu đỏ, β, được coi là dạng ổn định nhất ở nhiệt độ phòng, mặc dù dạng màu vàng cũng có thể xuất hiện tùy thuộc vào phương pháp sản xuất. In2S3 bị tấn công bởi axit và sunfua. Nó ít tan trong Na2S.
