Clo pentaflorua là chất khí không màu, có mùi ngọt. Độc khi hít phải và là chất gây kích ứng da, mắt và màng nhầy. Ăn mòn. Nặng hơn không khí. Trong điều kiện tiếp xúc lâu với lửa hoặc nhiệt độ cao, các thùng chứa có thể bị vỡ dữ dội. Được sử dụng như một chất oxy hóa trong chất đẩy. Các phản ứng điều chế clo pentaflorua: ClF3 + F2 → ClF5 ClF + 2F2 → ClF5 Cl2 + 5F2 → 2ClF5 CsClF4 + F2 → CsF + ClF5
Axit permanganic là một oxoacid mangan, là chất rắn, màu tím. Nó là một axit liên hợp của một pemanganat, có công thức HMnO4. Oxoacid mạnh này đã được phân lập dưới dạng dihydrat của nó.
