Ceri nitrua là dạng tinh thể khối chịu lửa, nóng chảy ở 2557°C. Ceri nitrua là một chất bột màu nâu có công thức hóa học là CeN và trọng lượng phân tử là 154,11g/mol. Nguyên tố đất hiếm được gọi là “vitamin công nghiệp” và là nguồn tài nguyên chiến lược vô cùng quan trọng. Ceri nitrua được sử dụng rộng rãi trong dầu khí, công nghiệp hóa chất, luyện kim, dệt may, gốm sứ, thủy tinh, vật liệu nam châm vĩnh cửu và các lĩnh vực khác. Vì vậy, việc nghiên cứu các hợp chất đất hiếm là rất quan trọng.
Axit permanganic là một oxoacid mangan, là chất rắn, màu tím. Nó là một axit liên hợp của một pemanganat, có công thức HMnO4. Oxoacid mạnh này đã được phân lập dưới dạng dihydrat của nó. Axit permanganic thường được điều chế bằng phản ứng của axit sunfuric loãng với dung dịch bari pemanganat, sản phẩm phụ bari sunfat không hòa tan được loại bỏ bằng cách lọc: Ba(MnO4) 2 + H2SO4 → 2 HMnO4 + BaSO4 Các dung dịch axit pemanganic không ổn định, và phân hủy dần dần thành mangan (IV) oxit, oxy và nước, với mangan (IV) oxit được định hình thành ban đầu xúc tác cho sự phân hủy tiếp theo.
