Axit sylvic có tên khác là axit abietic, là bột màu vàng nhẹ. Axit sylvic là một hợp chất hữu cơ xuất hiện rộng rãi trong cây cối, có vai trò như một chất chuyển hóa thực vật. Nó là thành phần chính của axit nhựa, là chất kích ứng chính trong gỗ và nhựa thông, được phân lập từ nhựa thông và là axit hữu cơ dồi dào nhất trong nhựa thông, phần rắn của nhựa dầu của rừng cây lá kim. Este hoặc muối của nó được gọi là abietate.
Photpho triclorua là một hợp chất hóa học vô cơ có thành phần gồm hai nguyên tố là phốt pho và clo, với công thức hóa học được quy định là PCl3. Hợp chất này có hình dạng kim tự tháp hình tam giác.
