Muối natri của axit stearic (C18H35NaO2), một loại axit béo tự nhiên, được sử dụng như một chất bổ trợ dược phẩm trong thuốc mỡ, kem và thuốc đạn. Trong các loại kem có thể ổn định nhũ tương.
