Amoni Biflorua có một axit HF trong phân tử, nó là một axit có tính oxy hóa rất mạnh nên được sử dụng để loại bỏ các tác nhân gây hại như nấm mốc, vi khuẩn, khử trùng. Được sử dụng làm chất bảo quản cây, gỗ… Amoni Biflorua được sử dụng trong ngành xi mạ. Được sử dụng để ăn mòn, làm mờ gương, kính. Được dùng để phá cáu cặn nồi hơi.
Deuteri bromua là chất khí không màu đến vàng nhạt, tan được trong nước, nhạy với hơi ẩm. Nó là một hydro bromua với hydro là deuteri đồng vị nặng hơn. Deuteri bromua có thể bỏng da nghiêm trọng và tổn thương mắt, nó cũng có thể gây kích ứng đường hô hấp.
