Substance HfF4 (Hafni(IV) florua)
Hafnium tetrafluoride là hợp chất vô cơ có công thức HfF4. Nó là một chất rắn màu trắng. Nó sử dụng cấu trúc tương tự như zirconium tetrafluoride, với các tâm Hf (IV) 8 tọa độ. Hafnium tetrafluoride được điều chế bằng cách phân hủy nhiệt cẩn thận amoni fluorohafniate trong môi trường không có oxy hoặc bằng cách cho hydro florua khan qua hafnium tetrachloride ở 300 ℃.
